COSMETIC TATTOOING INFO
Cosmetic Tattooing is the art and science of implanting safe colour pigments beneath the first layers of skin to give a more defined, youthful and radiant look that lasts for years.
With our ombre brow techniques, we know that natural beauty is best. We can give you symmetry, definition and a beautiful shape.

Q&A
DOES IT HURT?
The techniques we use are designed to be gentle and superficial in the skin - causing the least amount of pain and trauma on the skin. Should the treatment feel too uncomfortable, topical numbing can be applied but in most cases clients do not find it necessary (and often even fall asleep during the treatment!)
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Everyone is different! The length of time can depend on a number of factors including, your sun exposure, pigments used and skin type.
If you wish to maintain the colour over time you will require colour boost treatments when fading occurs - annual touch ups are recommended to keep it looking fresh.
NOTE // AFTER HEALING: avoid skin exfoliating products over the tattooed area AND good sunscreen should be applied anytime you will be in the sun so as to avoid the rapid fading of your cosmetic tattoo, as well as help keep the colour of your tattoo true.
IS A FOLLOW UP VISIT REQUIRED?
After all cosmetic tattooing treatments, a "retouch" perfection visit is required.
This follow up treatment will ensure you are fully satisfied with the result, as pigment healing/fading will differ for all.
This must be made 4-8 weeks after heeling - if it has been more than 12 weeks since your first booking you must book the yearly colour boost)
The Perfection visit is to fix any areas that require more pigment; things that can alter the look and healing of your tattoo may include your skin type, metabolism and how you care for your tattoo in its healing stage.
CAN I HAVE A COSMETIC TATTOO WHILST I’M PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
Unfortunately you can't. Having a cosmetic tattoo can put extra stress and tension on the body. Another reason is due to changes in the hormones which can have effects on the end result.

IS IT SAFE?
All products and equipment used in your treatment are single use and disposed of at the end of each treatment.
High Brow Studio guarantees a safe and hygienic application.
DO I NEED TO TAKE TIME OFF WORK, AND ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
As with all cosmetic tattooing the end results and healing will depend on the age and quality of your skin.
Brows take 2 weeks to fully heal, within this time you cant apply ANY makeup to the area. Please do not book your tattoo appointment around any events as your tattoo needs to peel to heal.
If there is any swelling this may last from 2-48 hours. There may be some tenderness for a few days.
The colour implanted will be darker that you would expect for the first 3-10 days. Most people do not need to take time off for eyebrow or eyeliner procedures.
WHAT TO DO AFTER MY TREATMENT?
There are detailed aftercare instructions given to you on the day. It is advisable to strictly adhere to these guidelines to achieve the best results.
Please note: You cannot exercise or use swimming pools, saunas or spas for 10 days post-treatment. You cannot wear makeup on, or too close to the treated area for 10-14 days post-treatment.
It is a cosmetic invasive procedure that requires experience, skill, trust, passion, science and art! It is not just an extension of beauty therapy. Please ask questions.
